Reminders for week of 3/28/22

Please be aware of the following:

ELA Test Dates for Grades 3-8 

Tuesday March 29th - Part I

Thursday March 31st  - Part II

*Students will need pencils, highlighters and a book to read.

*Students will not be able to have any water bottles in the room.

*Students will not be able to leave the room for the bathroom after the test has begun.

*Students will not be able to leave the room to see the nurse-- the nurse will be be summoned to the room if needed.

*Students will be required if they finish early to read a book ONLY.  Therefore, they will not be able to ask the teacher to get something from anywhere.

Parent-Teacher Conference on Friday, April 1st.  Please click below to choose.

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM - In-Person Conference

In person - parents must have a mask on and will be seated in the school lunchroom 3 feet apart.  All parents must enter through the school lunchroom -- the main school door will not grant access. 

The times for Zoom have been moved to begin at 2:00 pm.

Reminders for week of 3/22/22

 Please be advised of the following:

*Mock ELA Test Grades 3-8 

Tuesday March 22nd - Part I

Thursday March 24th  - Part II

*Students in grades 3-8 during their regularly scheduled Reading class will take a practice test from the archived New York State ELA tests.  The session will mimic the 90 minute time frame that will occur the following week.

*Students will need pencils, highlighters and a book to read.

*NYS ELA Exams begins on March 29th.

*Report Cards will be distributed on March 31st.

*Easter Recess begins after dismissal on April 8th.  School resumes on April 25th.  

*NYS Math Exams for Grades 3-8 begins on April 26th.

Reminders for week of 3/14/22

Please be advised of the following:

*In order to prepare for the upcoming NYS test for ELA and Math, homework will be given on weekends to complete.  Assignments posted in Edgenuity, Khan Academy, Zearn as well as Prodigy are to help reinforce their skills.

*It is important that the students in Grades 3-5 to know practice multiplying. Please also review the multiplication chart.  

*FirstinMath has also been assigned to students to practice their fluency skills.

*The children can wear green to celebrate St. Patrick's Day on Thursday, 3/17.
